‘British socialite Peaches Geldof has apologized for posting a Tweet claiming Miley Cyrus died. In the post on the socialite networking site Monday — which has been deleted — the UK’s answer to Paris Hilton said she’d received a text from a pal informing her that the Hannah Montana actress had passed away.Peaches, 21, is now happy to clear up the misunderstanding. “Didn’t want to cause distress by Tweeting that I’d heard that Miley had died,” she wrote. “Turns out it was thankfully a rumor. Glad to hear that.”
This isn’t Peaches’ first run-in with Disney’s reigning teen queen. Married, divorced, and drug-addicted by 20, the daughter of rocker-turned-politican Bob Geldof made headlines earlier this year when she claimed that she was a better role model than the often-controversial Cyrus.
“Maybe I’m a better role model than people like Miley Cyrus,” she said. “These girls that have been upheld as role models who are literally just girls who have been ferried from place to place, media trained, told what to do and just like complete veneers of people – people who are not even real.”‘
