Hi Miley, My name is Bernadette. Nineteen years ago I moved from Birmingham Al to Tulsa Ok and became homeless. I didn’t know anybody when I moved to Tulsa. I had to sleep in my car from Aug 1992 until March of 1993. It was very cold and I was very depressed most of the time. I did not know what to do but I trusted God and believed that there was a reason for me going through what I went through. Nineteen years later I now started a nonprofit organization called Changing Lives. It is a organization that reaches out to the homeless and hopeless people right here in my city. I was very moved when I read that you visited homeless kids at the Spirit Holiday Party on Dec 9th! To know that you took out time in your busy schedule to spend time with those who was less fortunate really blessed my heart! Miley, I really admire you for that! I wish we had more people in the world like you who would take out a little time in their schedule to spend time with those who was hurting and less fortunate, then the world would be a better place! Miley, the homeless people have been forgotten! People tend to overlook them because of the way they look and smell but Miley their human just like we are! They have hearts that beat just like ours and I wish the world would wake up and understand that their human beings, not a peice of trash or garbage. Miley, I have written a song to dedicate to all the homeless people here in the USA. I’m one person who’s trying to make a difference in the lives of those who are hopeless and broken!
