‘Robert Pattinson won three ‘golden popcorn’ gongs at the MTV Video Awards Sunday. The British actor, 23, took home awards for Best Fight, Best Kiss and Best Breakthrough performance at the show. Robert’s Twilight co-star Kristen Stewart also won for Best Female performance and the cast took home the award for Best Film.

Looking slightly bemused at his haul, Pattinson thanked Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke for “casting me when I was an absolute nobody”. Robert plays heartthrob vampire Edward Cullen in the franchise, and reprises his role in sequel New Moon, which hits movie theaters later this year.
