So, the performance we’ve all been hearing about/thinking about/eagerly awaiting just occurred: Miley Cyrus hit the stage as first time VMA performer. She emerged from a bear statue in a silver leotard that had a furry gray bodice with a bear face attached. The bear had a lot going on: it was winking and sticky its tongue out Miley-style. Like, can bears do either of those things? Prob not, but YOLO it’s the VMAs, y’all! There was a minor bear theme throughout the entire performance, JK MAY-JAH BEAR THEME. The dancers had huge bears on their backs and, somehow, still managed to twerk alongside Miley.
When we saw Miley earlier on the red carpet she was in a black, embellished crop top and pants (vintage Dolce & Gabbana, NBD) and her newly-tradmarked raver buns. She ditched the D&G, but the raver buns stayed, in a big way. They also stayed when she removed the furry leotard to reveal a NUDE, LATEX BIKINI and gyrated along Robin Thicke, who was no longer in his red carpet attire either, but in a striped suit with a black shirt.
