Actress/singer Miley Cyrus revealed that she is about to walk out from pop music industry. During a recent interview with British morning show GMTV, the “Party in the U.S.A” hitmaker said, “I want to do my last pop record. I’m working on a record right now.” “I kind of want this to be my last record for a little while and be able to take a break,” the 17-year-old star explained further. On what kind of music she wishes to do in her upcoming album, the songstress said she wants to create “something edgier”.
The “Hannah Montana: The Movie” star, moreover, stated, “Just get all the type of my music that I really love … you know, my favorite styles.” She then explained the reason why she wants to do a different kind of music, saying “Because in a few years, as I grow up, so will my fans and I won’t have to focus on that as much, and I’ll be able to have more of the sound of music that I’m into.”
Talking about something “edgier”, Miley Cyrus has currently re-recorded Poison frontman Bret Michaels’ 80s rock ballad called “Every Rose Has Its Thorn”. Miley’s representative has recently confirmed that the “I Miss You” singer had a recording session with Bret in New York City.
On why Miley chose to cover the power ballad/rock song, her mother Tish Cyrus told People that the star of “The Last Song” loves the song. ” ‘Every Rose’ is one of her all-time favorite songs and she is really excited about cutting it,” Tish shared.
