Miley auditioned for Hannah Montana when she was eleven and got the part when she was thirteen.

Miley’s name originated from the nickname Smiley, which her father, Billy Ray, gave her. When she got older, she dropped the s and became known as Miley.

Miley’s name can spell Emily [Osment, her Hannah Montana co-star], and vice versa. All you have to do is move the e in their names.

Miley taught Emily Osment how to play guitar, and Emily taught Miley how to knit on the set of Hannah Montana.

Hannah Montana clips were featured in Bridge to Terabithia, in which Miley performed the song “I Learned from You”.

Trace, Brandi, and Noah, Miley’s siblings, have been on Hannah Montana. Trace played guitar in Hannah’s band for season one, Brandi for season two, and Noah played several different roles throughout season one. Miley’s godmother is singer/actress Dolly Parton.

Miley’s grandmother is the only person who still calls her by her birth name, Destiny.

She celebrated her sixteenth birthday party at Disneyland in California. The entire place was closed down on a weeknight, and each guest paid $250 to attend. All the money went to charity.

Miley is ticklish and has said in interviews that she absolutely hates being tickled.

When Miley has to perform in concerts she gets really nervous. She helps herself calm down by realizing that this is her dream, and it’s what she really wants to do.
